If you put kawasaki oil in a yamaha, would it make run bad?

I took my bike in for the first OIL change. Well before I took it in it ran like a champ. The reciept said that they used KDRUM kawasaki 10w40 and they also changed the diff fluids, checked lube and adjusted all cables. Now its jerking and my gears are acting clunky.
Its a 2008 yamaha 1100 v star classic.
