If you order a cell phone off the verizon wireless website, will it arrive

unlocked or actived? I have been waiting for an upgrade because my phone sucks, but my plan doesn't allow me to get a new phone will next June (2010). However, my mom, who is satisfied with the phone she has now, is eligible for an upgrade. If i get a new phone on behalf of my mother's number off the verizon wireless website, can i activate it with my line/number? I don't want to buy an unlocked phone because they are too expensive compared to the discounted price when you are eligible for an upgrade. Please let me know if I can do this. Thanks!
PS- My mom and I share the same family plan
 
it won't arrived activated. you have to call in to activate it and yes you can use her upgrade for your line you just have to go through a process of switching it over, which you can also do over the phone.
