If you move to a different state, do your grades in the previous state count?

I live in NY and I'm a freshman in high school.
I'm not sure, but I think NY's school system is different than any other.
I have to take Regents this year for Math and Science.
However, I'm moving to Georgia and I was wondering whether my grades in NY
including the Regents exams will count in Georgia.
Just incase this is important, I go to school in NYC, and will be moving to school in Atlanta, GA.
