Misinterpret or not that is how it was proposed.

The vehicle tax is for electric cars that do not use gas and use the same roads that are maintained with the gas tax.
 
In the short term, yes I believe it. Got anything but hot air under that bridge? And as I said on your other question, if the mileage tax passed, which Obama by the way objects to, the tax on someone driving 15,000 miles a year would be $37.50. If you can't afford that amount in a year, you probably can't afford a car in the first place.

1. Not Obama's idea.

2. Far too costly to implement.

3. The exact same thing can be achieved by raising gas taxes.

4. It will never make it off the committee floor.

yes, if you make less than 250k your taxes will not be raised. those who make more than 250k will see thier taxes go back to the way they were under Pres. Clinton. this wiil not take effect until Bushes tax cuts for the wealthy expire in 2011.

If so please let me know, I have a bridge to sell and a few other investments for you to consider, but it will not make your income raise over 200k so you will still be safe


Panel for vehicle-milage-tax and equiping cars with device to track milage and give you total of tax owed. Is this only for people who make more than 250K?

As far as what is known, yes only $250,000 and above would have an increase. As for the mileage tax, I believe one state already has it.
 
heres the thing people don't get. the people that make over 250K that are getting taxed are the employers or business owners et al. don't you think that they would in turn sell their products more expensive to cover the additional tax burden. so in the end the consumer all pay for the tax hike in the form of higher prices.

therefore it's a stupid plan.

1st only the liberals would ask for a green car and then tax the electric car for using the highways...that is so awesome and so liberal...When will the liberals understand that the 250,000 group are small business owners...again Barry said he is for them and he is showing it by taxing them...When will the liberals understand that there isn't that many rich people out there?
 
It is IMPOSSIBLE for obama to pay for his projects with only this tax increase...he MUST get into the 60k or 75k range to take in enough revenue to pay for this stuff, or even to pay for half of it...it's coming like a freight train...either that or we will have catastrophic economy wrecking deficits.
