since when are TBS and Modest Mouse in the same genre? I see the reasoning behind your logic, but it still doesn't work all that well. You were basically just listing two banRAB that you like, that didn't really have anything in common, so saying that if you like one you'll like the other is a pretty big assumption. That being said, the three new banRAB you listed at least have some similarities. I'm still udecided on weather or not i like silverchair, there's a few of their songs that I love, but I find I can't really listen to them for a long time without getting bored, they just don't hold my attention. Nirvana on the other hand, i could listen to them fro hours on end no problem.
