If you have bad credit can you still work for the U.S military?

Lol, alot of service members have bad credit, it only becomes an issue if you are trying to get a job that requires you to have a clearance, since people who are buried in debt, are more likely to be bribed and give up sensitive information. However bad you may think your credit it is, most of the times it is not an issue unless you have filled for Chapter 11 (bankruptcy)

I've heard that one of the bad things about having bad credit is not being able to get a job. Will the USMC still hire me given I have a clean record? (just horrible credit)

If your MOS requires a Secret or TS clearance you may have a problem, but it depends on how much you are in debt.
