If you get hurt in Basic does the army just discharge you or do they pay for treatment?

Say someone tears their ACL or something during Basic. Will the army cover the cost of surgery and such or will they just discharge the person?
Ok, another questions. Lets say a person is hurt during basic, they have surgery, but are not able to walk/run/lift for 6 months. Do they still get paid for the time they were injured? And does that 6 months still count towards their enlistment time?
I wasn't joking about that.

Didn't you post a question yesterday about spitting on Vietnam Vets? You were joking around that you spit on them. Now you want to go to boot camp? You need to stop being so immature.

EDIT: So you werent joking when you said you spit on some Vietnam Vets? Whatever kid. I know you were joking and it is a sick joke. Some one should kick your butt up between your ears. You have some audacity to post disgusting jokes like that then, get on here wanting to go to the Army. Grow up Miss Nomer/Crystal. You have been slinking around this board awhile.

Assuming you mean hurt to the point of no longer being able to complete Basic training. A torn muscle heals and they'll have you back in basic as soon as your muscle can handle it.

Depends. If it could possibly be the result of a prior condition, they get you back on your feet and say "goodbye, we never want to hear from you again". If it's something they cannot possibly pin on a prior condition, then they might discharge you with medical privileges.
