The guy I was supposed to replace as a doorman now wants a hearing. I was set to take the doorman job in his place but they told me I had to wait 3 weeks now until the hearing as done.

The company doesnt want him back and the superintendent warned him 3 times and does not want him back. But can the union FORCE him to come back? If not, why would this guy want a hearing knowing the company doesnt want him?

Will I get this job or not? WHO DECIDES if he gets his job back? The employer, or union? And if you had to GUESS would you say this bum is gonna get his job back, or mabye just get some compensation to make him go away?

He'll probably have to show proof that he went into a detox program and that he's not drinking. Alcoholism is a disease and is protected by laws if he is treated. So I bet to avoid a lawsuit he's gonna get his job back... maybe you should look for another job just in case.
