...three items? What would you bring to help you survive? Personally I'd choose a good sturdy knife, a piece of flint, and a cooking pot.
Please explain your answer. The knife is pretty obvious, the flint can be struck against the knife for a fire, and the cookoing pot is for cooking(obviously), and catching rain and boiling water. Pretty much everything else can be made.
