you hand over your money - but within a few seconds you usher back the assistant requesting your money back because you've now changed your mind.

Can they lawfully refuse to give your money back if you REFUSE to take the tray and sit down ?

what does the law, customers rights in all of this ? Can the McDonalds outlet manager have the 'power' to simply say 'sorry, too late - we cant give you your money back' (which sounds weird) ?

I ordered a fillet of fish meal or something, and then changed my mind and requested my money back but it caused serious 'stress' and 'discomfort' as well as 'heart-ache' for a rude stuck up carribean girl assistant. The manager too had some form of 'difficulty' understand the 'I dont want any meal, drink or food - changed my mind, money back please ?'.

The manager stood there in an assertive aggressive pose and began to perspire heavily and went red - and eventualy (after a lot of trouble, i got my money back). The manager said 'dont come back here again' to me. Was this too, out of line and unprofessional ?
NOTE: - money was handed over first, no food was presented at that precise moment and I was to wait a minute or two. Just clear that.

To be honest if you had already been given your food as you imply I dont think the you are entitled to your money back. If they want to bar you from thier shop they have every right to do so. Im afraid they are right and you are wrong

Im not sure of the answer, but there was a news story last week about a woman who ordered chicken mcnuggets, they took her money, and then a few minutes later told her they were all out chicken mcnuggets, she demanded her money back but they told her they couldn't give her money back and to order something else, so she called the police lol ! Crazy, but Mcdonald's later apologized and said they should have given the woman her money back. She ended up getting a bunch of free Mcdonald's vouchers !

By the way, mentioning that the girl was caribbean has NOTHING to do with the story. I hate when people add a person's ethnicity into a story like it had anything to do with what happened. If she was white would you have mentioned her race then?

No.. your the one being out of line. Why couldnt you have just ordered your meal and took it? You should think before you go and hand over your money.
