If you could travel to places in books?

Where would you go?
Who would you go with? (This could be real people or fictional.)
How long would you stay?
What would you do?
Who from home would you write to?

Add anything else you deem necessary :)
These answers are so much fun! I love them!

But I'm not sure how I feel about your cheating, Origin... :p

I know this is a place in a book transcribed from a TV show, but I'd go to the Star Trek holodeck. It's every place ever imagined ever!

If only it weren't so prone to malfunctioning and leaving its users stranded in historical scenarios...

I'd visit the 70s first; to pick up some leather pants. You can't find those anywhere nowadays. And some old-school polyesters, and maybe a lava lamp.

I think I'd travel with Jean Luc Picard, for security reasons, and one of the security staff in case a disposable character needed to be killed off.

As for what I'd do. I don't know. I think I'd just hang around history. I wouldn't go anywhere prior to 1850, though, due to all that stuff about witchcraft. I don't think I'd be able to take my lava lamp and leather pants with me to the 1600s.

Or maybe I would. Just to see what happened.

Every few years or so I'd return to the 70s for a haircut and some new clothes, and be on my merry way bumming around through history.

Some events and places I would like to see:
1980s Michael Jackson concert
Disneyland.
Disneyworld.
EuroDisney
Dinosaurs
