I work full time, as well as my husband, I get home a few hours before him and he works quite a bit harder. I have no problem being a good "house wife" when I get home, ie: making meals, tiding, doing laundry etc.
Anyway I asked my husband, "What would you like for supper tonight" and he told me, I went out bought the ingredients and about an hour before he got home he texted saying "I am so hungry can't wait to have supper and spend time with you".
When he came home he was sweet and nice and was all up in my business when preparing supper, then he said "Hey do you want me to grab us some drinks, we can have a few drinks after supper if you want" I thought, that's nice and why not. So he came back home and supper was only about 20 minutes before ready to eat, then he said .... "I don't know, I can't really eat and then drink right after, but that's ok, we will have lots of leftovers". I am so furious! I work a full day and go out of my way to prepare a nice home cooked meal for the two of us to have, then he decides drinking is more important then sitting enjoying a meal together? I even said "That's ridiculous, you can eat and then have a few drinks!" he made excuses and said "No if i eat then drink I might puke and I don't want that, and I'm not that hungry anymore." Like what the heck?! An hour before he couldn't wait to eat, then he gets alcohol and decides, "well I'm not interested..." and that's it!!!
I'm so insulted! Am I over reacting? I really did all I could to be so sweet and caring for him, and he has totally disrespected me!
How would you feel? What would you do?
