without cooking them first? I cut up a bunch of Nectarines and put them in a plastic container and then put a bunch of sugar on them and put them in the fridge. It seems to be half juice now. My freezer if packed with Nectarines. I wanted the sugar to preserve the Nectarines in the fridge so they don't rot before I eat them. The sugar seems to have sucked out a lot of juice and mostly dissolved in it and now its about half nectarines and half liquid sugar-juice. Will the nectarines be preserved in the liquid sugar-juice without cooking it? I reeeeally want to have nectarines a few months from now. What do you think?
