If Western civilization collapses, what gun would you pick?

If Western civilization collapses and you could only choose 2 guns, what would be your 2 favorite guns for protecting yourself and your loved ones?

My personal picks:

The AK-47
Glock pistol in either .40 S&W or .45 acp
 
If only allowed 2...
Ithica 37 trench gun
Springfield XD 9mm


however you need 4

1 for personal defense (close range) xd 9mm
1 for hunting large game M1 30 carbine
1 for hunting bird 12ga pump
1 for small game lever or bolt action 22
 
30-06 savage series Model 11 with a Tasco 10-40x50mm Rifle Scope 2 M1911 .45 acps with a laser sights and all the ammo i could loot
 
I would pick a 50 BMG and an ak-47.The 50 BMG could be used to take targets out at a distance. Then, when there is fighting up close, you could just pull out the ak-47.
 
I'm kinda fond of my Beretta Storm Carbine in .40 S&W (good past a 100 yards) with a 9mm beretta 90-two backup. It might be an unusual set-up because they would both be pistol rounds but it's the same setup I decided I would use incase of a zombie apocolypse. I might decide to use my ar-15 instead if I can ever find the parts to finish it.
 
forget the guns... gotta have ammo for them to work... been out to buy any lately??
 
I would be happy with an M16 with a thousand rounds....I can hit anything with m16. To the guy who says I cant carry it arround...do you think I going to carry around a thousand rounds? I would be hiding my ammo someplace safe my friend.
 
M1A1 (M-14) and a AK47 12 gage shotgun. If your question is just to cover 2 legged critters I want something for far away work and in close.
 
AR-15 with 6 loaded mags and Glock 22 with 4 mags. A thousand rounds is useless if you can't carry it comfortably. The ammo for the AR is lighter than heavier rounds, so I can carry more and it is very accurate. The Glock is only a backup.
