If we have a global financial system, shouldn't we also have a global regulatory system?

With trillions of dollars moving around every day, shouldn't we have something global to regulate it?

Otherwise, what's to stop a huge bank in Switzerland, 35:1 leveraged from sinking the ship?

If we are truly a globalized economy, I think we should have global rules too. Do you? What about limits on leverage?

I personally do not want the EU, Africa, Asia etc... telling my country what to do. I do not agree with a global "anything" system.

Surrendering sovereignty is never a good idea. Do you really want to put yourself in a position where some nobody from Kenya or somplace is in charge of your life? Oh, wait; that may have already happened. Never mind.

So the global adventure has hurt us and the cure is to become more globalist ?

In nature diversity is the key to survival --- you suggest we unify and have one regulatory board for our money ?

The disease is globalists --- the cure can not be more globalists

Allowing a central entity to oversee the markets is equivalent to allowing the wolf to guard the hen house. Anytime that entity gets power hungry, they can move in and commit more regulation.

Besides, you should research a little; misplaced regulation has been the problem. We need to regulate the Federal Reserve since they are the private banking system who prints our currency at will and lends it with interest.

Do you even realize that the Fed is not even audited?

THAT's where we start; not foolishly on the global scale.

Absolutely NO to both.
Ever heard of sovereignty?
Let it go this way and we will have none.
America would not even be able to defend itself and would become a banana republic. Anytime we needed to make a move they will drive monetary value down where we could not even afford fueling an aircraft.

Remember, only 52% percent of the population actually contributes and pays taxes. The other 48% are draining the ones that are producing.
