become German banks? The taxpayer saved Chrysler, who was then bought by Daimler of Germany. The Krauts drove it into the ground, moved most admin and manufacturing out of the US, and then dumped it. Can we expect the same sort of crap if we save these banks?
 
Helping the private companies with the use of government funds could be good for the economy but might be misused as helping other countries.
