if u choose 13b as your mos in the army how do they decide who is on light

artillery or heavy artillery? are there requirements you need to do to be in light artillery or heavy artillery(e.g.airborne school to become light)
 
the person above is exactly right it. it all depends on where you are stationed. and if you start on heavy or light it does not mean you will always be that way.
 
I am sure that it all depends on where your 1st duty station is. Example if you get Ft. Campbell and the 101st Airborne, you will most likely be light artillery. If you are put into a Fires brigade like 75th Fires out of Ft. Sill you will probably be Heavy.
