Don't they know we know they can make a complete senergy system car free of gas usage, who do you think is holding them back, OPEC or Governments.
Do You think the public should have a chance to show they dont want fully electric cars? And yes the batteries are heavy but their being constantly recharged and it wasnt that long ago when the only option ur had was 2 plug them in.
Mc the old tech required u plug the car in .Toyotas sinergy system recharges the batteries everytime the brakes are are applied..no plug needed

No, it's not that. If Toyota feels that people will buy a full electric car with a regenerative braking system, Toyota will probably build it and sell it. The problem is people have trouble with just moving to a gas-electric hybrid. But if gas prices keep going up, I'm sure people will move to cars that use little or no gasoline.

Gasoline engines are tried and true. I think that people have so much confidence in them that they may not want a completely electric car. Although some people are "green" and would love a totally electric car they do what they can and buy a ugly Prius. So yeah the technology is there just be patient there is a transition process in everything.
