IF TIME GOES ON FOREVER IN BOTH DIRECTIONS HOW DID WE GET TO THIS POINT IN HISTORY?

if i journey back in time the equivalent of one earth day and just keep going forever, before the big bang etc. just keep
moving back in time, one day at a time never ending,
as i look back over my shoulder i see this time getting smaller and smaller and since i can mathematically keep going forever, how can i ever get back to this day? Obviously i cannot get to this time of "now" so does this time really exist without some sort of "beginning".

Time is like a sort of energy
it just keeps going we cannot scale it down to a moment
also we cannot bend it and have to move along with it
it will never end too
The Time-space continum will remain

This is exactly the sort of question the ancient Greek philosophers loved to argue over for decades without reaching a concensus. You either are comfortable with the concept of infinity or you are not.

"Fin" means end; "infinite" means having no end. If time is infinite in both directions, then there is no beginning and no end. Any time in history is just as far from the non-existent beginning and end as any other time in history.

Suppose time consists of endless cycles, and every cycle has a beginning and end. There can be no cycle which contains all the other cycles. If there were such an all-encompassing cycle, it too would have a beginning and end, which would be a contradiction.
