If they were to do a mary poppins remake

Would you want it set the 2000's with a beautiful busty blond, singing more up to date tunes, and all modernized, or would you prefer it set in the 1950's like the original just made a bit more up to date with the sound and picture?

I would want - Sherry Bobbins, or whatever the Simpsons version was called.

They should have Julie Walters as the lead, make her look as scruffy as she did when she played Petula in 'Dinnerladies,' and have her smoking cigarettes and downing a bottle of Jack Daniels when she sings "just a spoonful of sugar."

I'd go and see it anyway!

Keanu Reeves?

His dodgy 'English' accent in 'Dracula' springs to mind instantly - I hardly feel his Cockney would be much better.

Sorry to be pedantic but it was actually set in 1910 and made in the 1960's!

The thought of a remake strikes fear into my very soul. You can't mess with what was already perfect!!!!

My version would be called Mary Pill Popping Poppins

It'd be set in modern day New York, and it'd feature Eddie Murphy as a female nanny who steals from her employees, also played by Eddie Murphy, to feed her drug habit. The song list would feature:

"Supercokeafragilisticexpimarijuana"
"The Life I Weed"
"Let's Get High Like a Kite"
"I Love to Smoke"
"Feed the Addicts (Tuppence a Kilo)"
"A Spoonful of Cocaine"

The film would probably have to be 18-rated.

P.S. I in no way endorse or encourage the use of drugs :p
