If They Made A Carry On Film Now . . .

....... it would undoubtedly be complete rubbish.

It's inevitable that the makers would try to complicate the issue, add special effects, make it appeal to an American audience, etc and all those things would ruin what is the essence of a Carry On film - simplicity and quirky old-world Britishness.
 
Yes I agree. British humour has changed an awful lot since the first Carry On film was made in 1956 and even differs somewhat since the 1960's. Good old political correctness is also an issue and many of the gags used in the original Carry On's, you would never get away with today :)

The same can also be said about the likes of Rising Damp and Love Thy Neighbour, these shows could never be made again either for obvious reasons :)
