This question just gets "stranger." If you reject any of these ideas, give me the reasons to, so I can stop thinking about this so often.

If there were no such thing as sex, could beings desire to exist?
Let's say touching an object, was desirable, could beings exist were just touching an object was desirable?
Where would they come from if they didn't evolve through procreation?
It seems that cause and effect, is vitally important to how things work. What kind of cause and effect would exist in a world where touching an object was pleasing (alone -- with no reproduction)?
Would those beings that best touched the object survive over time? Those that didn't touch it would die? So by touching the object, it would cause, not reproduction, but continuance of form/being. Why wouldn't the being always touch it? There must be creation of separation for there to have been a cause that brought the touching to "begin" with?
I am onto something here I just never dig it up, because it keeps crawling away. I will add more if I think of anything:
