If there is a god why does he hide himself and make his creation wonder if he is there?

Except that many don't wonder; they * know *. Now you can jump up and down, crying that there is no evidence for such a position, yet many people still hold it. Look can look at them with disdain, yet they will still * know *.

Perhaps a question to ask you is this: Let's say God shows Himself unmistakably. What then? Will you respond to said God appropriately? You've * just * found out you are a created being. What do you owe to your Creator?

The Bible states evidence exists. No, I am not saying this is proof. But if the God of the Bible is correct, this is what He will present to you when you stand before Him. You will have * no * defense.

The creation is part and parcel of the God idea.

You can't see it because it isn't something separate.

Love and blessings Don

He's just waiting to see how many people he can get to stop believing then when he gets enough non believers hes going to kill us all, sending us to Hell in a hand basket.

You are wrong.

Jesus said that if you REALLY want to know (DO you really want to know if God is there? Or is this a typical hypocritical question, implying that you want to know, when you really don't?) But if you DO want to find God, Jesus said "OBEY THESE COMMANDS, and you SHALL know (one way OR the other)!" (Notice He didn't say anything about believing or having faith! This is an objective "acid test" and if you don't take His challenge, then you have no room to talk about it!) (I am of the opinion that He was referring to the Sermon on the Mount, starting in the 5th chapter of the gospel according to Matthew).

In the Old Testament, God said, "If you seek for me, then you shall find me, if you search for me with all your heart (with a humble and honest heart), and I shall be found by you, says the Lord."

God indicated that He would reveal Himself to the person who is humble and has a contrite heart, but that He would hide Himself from the proud, the arrogant, the skeptic, the scoffer, and the mocker alike.

So, if you think God is hiding from you and you can't seem to find Him, then look to your OWN heart to discover the reason WHY you can't seem to find Him!

In the words of Jesus, the only reason you reject God is "because your deeds are evil, and you love darkness and hate the light!" (In other words, the ONLY reason why you don't believe in God is simply because you don't WANT to believe in God, because to do so would mean that you would have to quit your sinful lifestyle!)

It's not GOD who isn't very nice; it is YOU, because you tell lies about God, and you refuse to find out the Truth! You reject Truth, then give a lie as though it were true!
