If the sun is a star and planets revolve around it, life is out there?

If the stars are trillions of light years away, could it be that there is planet in their galaxy with life similar as earth. Because, the nearest star to earth is the sun, and the only planet proved to have life is earth. Could it be that there is a planet revolving around the stars in the heaven with life also? I understand that distant stars carry heat similar to our nearest star the sun; which is 93,000,000 miles away from earth. And, lastly, how they calculate this 93,000,000 miles?
 
I believe that there is more life out there. Just look at how big space is. There's bound to be life out there. Similar to us or not? We may never know.
