If the Obama Healthcare Bill fails to pass, and the Climate Change Bill

fails, Impact on Obama Politically? Assume the President now has One Hundred units of political capital to spend. How many units will he have if the healthcare bill fails? How about if the Climate change bill fails? How about if both fail? How about if both get enacted into law.?

Would he be inevitable in 2012 if he gets both bills through.

Would he be another Jimmy Carter in 2012 if both bills fail completely?

Assume that he's not a strong candidate in 2012, and that the GOP simply does not have any chance because of its record and because it is a backwards and idea-free party -- the party of naysayers and obstructionists, who have nothing better to offer -- is there a candidate on the Democratic side that might beat Obama for the Democratic nomination in 2012? If so, who?

Is there a decent third party prospect? Maybe Bloomberg?

Politically it will hurt him. But I see little chance of that and the effects of those two programs maybe far more damaging to him.

He will be done if the cap and trade and health care bills pass not fail.
If they pass, were done, Kaput...as a nation !

Consider this: If these bills pass - - the cost to the American people would be so extreme - so vast - so detrimental - - we may never recover. How many Trillion$$ of dollars are they going to print, before the dollars are not worth the paper they are printed on.

This entire concept makes absolutely no sense.

Congress will change hands in 2010, and Obama will be out of Office 1-20-2013. A Conservative will replace Obama. 159+ million Americans did not vote for Obama; think about it.
