education too? Education plans would be nice for those with kids. I have no kids yet every year I pay a school bond of $232 plus a % of the Florida state general fund ($600-700), plus Federal $200.

Thanks libs. And yet no private option vouchers which you all oppose. Even though St. Catherines out performs the Public High school down the street in college graduates and placement exams. Keep evryone stupid so they keep Obama in office and work a career in government regulation. Producing nothing for this country.
Hey and to all the smug think-they-know-it-all liberals, County hospital is a public option already in place. Same logic. Why do you need a health care plan again? You just want to have govt control so you all can get govt jobs.
 
There is public school and there are private schools. What are you talking about? Taxes are taxes...we will always have to pay them. And you should feel lucky u don't have kids living in Florida.
 
Because Liberals have no core principles, they just fashion whatever argument works for the moment. So they argue "choice and competition" when pushing health care, because they know that sounds good. But deny these same principles when it comes to educational choice. In a word: hypocrisy.
 
Yeah, I agree...and why not for a new car, and a house, and a vacation to Florida,no, France and why not a pool table and season tickets to the Jets, and groceries, and beer and a couple visits to the brothel of my choice and my grandson wants a new pony and how about a new speedboat and a yacht.. And my wife, bless her heart, she needs a new vacuum cleaner- been using that ol' broom till the straw ain't nothing but a nub. And how about.........
Get my drift?? Why don't we stop depending on the government for everything from diapers to Depends?
 
You have your choice already.
To bad your government does not value education enough to properly fund it.
Lower education means lowered ability to compete in the world markets.
That means lower earnings and more job losses for Americans already in the middle a recession/depression.

I believe you are referring to Charter schools like the ones Obama took away from Washington D.C. The Teachers Unions are one of the largest contributors to the Democrats. It is the payback to them. The kids in Washington D.C. will have to go back to failing schools run by the N.E.A.
 
There is no "option" in the health care debacle. You have to pay for the government crap even if you buy your own insurance so some lazy dweeb can get health care before you.

I do agree that we need to get the government out of education, though. There is NOTHING in the Constitution of the United States that allows the federal government to interfere there, either. We can all see what has happened to education since the federal government took over. Watch for the same thing to happen to health care.
 
There are public and private options for education. They're called public schools and private schools. Somehow the existence of public schools has not yet driven the private schools out of existence.
 
I think all schools should be privatized. I pay 15,000/year in property taxes and 95% of that goes to the LA unified school district - the worst schools in the nation. Nobody who pays those property taxes in my neighborhood even sends their children to public school. Why should we foot the bill for a failed system populated by mexicans of illegals who bring the school system down? That money would be better spent repaving the crappy roads and giving us tax breaks.
