I Kinda thought if they one of these main characters had their own TV Show. Like Strong Bad could do cool stuff that likes to do, and Homestar could be doing stuff with Pom-Pom, or much things he could be thinking about.

maybe someday, will see more adventures of Homestar, and the cool Strong Bad. and maybe could have shorts from, Powered by The Cheat, 20X6, Teen Girl Squad, The Homestar Runner (1936), and The Cheat Commandos. I say that even if it's still on the web, i also wanna see it on TV.

Any Questions? :)

I forget who the executives worked for, but the Brothers Chaps were approached about making Homestar into a TV series a long time ago (we're talking five or six years here), and they kindly rejected due to the fact that the contract didn't give them full creative control. They also stated that they made more money on merchandising.

A similar thing happened to the creator of Charlie the Unicorn, although his proposed pilot with Adult Swim went a bit further in development. I believe the second Charlie episode is actually the pilot meant for AS...

Well, at least you don't have to worry about any swearing. I've downloaded, I think, like, every single cartoon they have on the official site, and the most offensive word I think ever uttered on there is the word "crap"... which has been used plenty of times on some other kids' shows like Ren and Stimpy... and (one of my current favorites) Total Drama Island.

I think that Homestarrunner works best in it's current medium. I think that changing it to a TV show would remove a lot of it's unique charm (like all the Easter Eggs found in the cartoons).

Which is why it did quite well with Christian youth groups in previous years. Not to say heavier content doesn't as well... but I digress.

By today's standards Homestar Runner and crew could have a TV show and remain as they are today where as maybe in the previous years it would be a stretch to get their antics on CN or Nick. I could see it do well for CN but it's perfectly fine where it is. I do like that one of the Chaps is going to help write a movie (not HSR related). That's pretty cool.

I?d love for there to be a ?Homestar Runner? series, providing that the executives don?t meddle too much with what Matt and Mike do. Besides, if ?Happy Tree Friends? can work as a television series, then I see no reason why ?Homestar Runner? wouldn?t. Granted, the ?Happy Tree Friends? TV Series bombed and was pulled from G4?s schedule as soon as they aired the final episode.

However, I?d hate for them to go through what Amy Winfrey experienced with ?Making Fiends?. She had to make a lot of sacrifices in order for Nickelodeon to pick up her web series and they only made a palty six episodes. Now, she no longer owns the merchandising rights to ?Making Fiends? and was forced to stop selling her own DVDs, not to mention how the future of the series is now in limbo.

Suffice it to say, sometimes it?s best to stay ?small?, so to speak.

I heard it was Cartoon Network. Then I heard it was a false rumor and that they've never been approached by anyone.

Unless the Chaps say it themselves, I wouldn't really believe anything for sure.

I wonder if there's really demand for it. HR was a huge a few years ago, but now it's pretty much become a cult thing with a smaller fanbase.

That...that just doesn't sound right. Half the fun of Charlie the Unicorn to me is how surreal and disturbing it is without ever actually being "dirty" with its humor.
