Nobody knows what causes cancer. However, some people believe that it is in the genes. For example, both my grandfather and my father died of cancer. You cannot change your DNA. On the other hand, certain activities will increase your risk for cancer. Usage of tobacco products will increase your risk of developing cancer. Exposure to radiation and certain chemicals are other risks. Priests do not have sex and I do not see them dying from cancer. So that maybe your best answer.
