If someone is psychotic....or seems to be ranting and raving like they have bipolar....?

How do they usually end up getting the help they need? How irrational does someone have to be till somebody steps in? And what if it's Marijuana induced and there are kids involved, whose lives are being affected tremendously.
I can't report her, as the parent is so aggressive, verbally, I'm worried for mine and my kids safety. She is fast bringing herself undone.... t's just a matter of time i think. I too grew up with a bi polar mother....it was tough, but she got help.
 
If I saw behavior like that, I would call the police. They will take the person into custody and have them committed if it is determined that they are a danger to themself or others. If their rants include threats, get out of there.

I doubt that marijuana is the sole cause of this type of behavior. Chances the person is trying to self-medicate due to some underlying mental illness or substance abuse.

Definitely call Child Protective Services--or let the police do that. That would be a stronger source.

As a child of an out-of-control bipolar father who drank and took barbiturates, bless you for getting involved with those children's lives!!!
