If somebody going through any of the services boot camp or basic training programs hops on a computer I hope God has mercy on them because their Drill SGT's or Drill Instructors sure will not

Yes and that is if their butler doesnt take too long drawing their bath.
Ever heard about how shinny the decks are on a marine corps base. When I went through boot camp we were not even given mops to do that, we had one person lay on the deck face down with their arm bent hands under the chin with towels under their arm and we drug them by their ankles around the deck like a mop
Do you think if they dont have mops they will have computers.

Nope, you can't even watch TV in basic. but you can write all the letters you want

Free time at boot camp is a very loose term. You might have a bit of time to write letters (on snail-mail) but for the most part, you'll have work to do. On uniforms, shining shoes and brass, studying. Don't even think about sneaking in a Blackberry or any other gadget.
