If religious people don't want gay marriage, then why don't they just NOT marry someone

That would mean they'd have to stay OUT of other peoples business. A concept they are unfamiliar with my child...

Because many don't actually live by the 'live and let live' principle that they spout.

You are sadly mistaken if you think it is ONLY religious people who are against gay marriage....There are plenty of non religious folks including atheists that are not in favor of gay marriage. You probably think ONLY Christians voted for Prop 8 right? Get a clue!

Because to be a religious person you have to be intolerant of other people's beliefs. They make me sick, and I feel ashamed to be sharing the same earth as them.

Ha I completed your details before I read them

This is a common question. Either

1.) Religious people DON'T have a problem with it, so stop accusing everyone religious of trying to intefere

2.) Religious people are highly strict, and lack any tolerance and thus try to interfere, and strike up your issues with them

3.) It's not just religious people who can be against gay marriage. Plenty of atheists are against it just because they find it gross or straight out wrong

I personally, as a religious person and as a secular being of this world, am not again gay marriage

EDIT
Okay, and why do people assume that religious people (or Christians, as people directly skip to them) think all gays go to hell. Sure, homosexuality is a sin, but what happened to Jesus, you know, one of the dudes the entire religion revolves around? Jesus enabled forgiveness because we're ALL sinners. Since when did homosexuality become the unforgivable sin?
