middle class tax hike? Obama promised that he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class, but recently his administration has hinted they might have to break this promise. Is Obama letting the deficit get so out of control so that he would have no choice but to raise taxes accross the board?

That would be a nail in his re-election coffin.

He could kiss 2012 goodbye if he breaks that promise. He would lose all moderate voters that handed him the election.

Its the last thing he wants.
