If my girlfriend and I get married, how will that effect her financial aid?

We are both dependents. My schooling is covered completely by my parents and I have no aid or work study. However, she has a work study program, financial aid, and some type of scholarship. One of her relatives pays for the rest that is not covered (no loans).

I'm pretty sure scholarship and the work study is not affected, but how about the financial aid? Any input or knowledge would help! thanks!!!

No, Financial aid for college stays, sorry for the wrong answer before, I thought you meant like money paid from the government

It will depend on you and your girlfriend's income combined.

I am not married, but engaged. I get financial aid because I am a dependent and my mom claims me.

Once I get married I doubt I will qualify though because of my fiance's income being more than my mom's.

Federal financial aid will be affected, but not scholarships and work study.
