If my Apple itouch broke could I transfer purchases to a new device?

well yh you can, if you remember you made a itunes account when you got your touch, with this account just log in with the same details on your new device and simply download the apps you had before. if you had many and dont remember which ones you downloaded, then you can do it though itunes. if your current device is still working hook it up to itunes then tranfer all purchaces onto itunes, that way when you put in your new deivce you can transfer all the apps again back over to the new device.

If my itouch broke, and I purchased a new one could I transfer or re-download Apps & music I purchased from itunes and the app store?

My itouch hasn't broke yet but its doing this thing where it makes a shutter sound and keeps bringing me to the slide to turn off screen.
