...that cable?!? So the place where people usually hook up their cable in the back of the tv broke and i have no way to watch tv... Im just wondering if there is any other way i can hook up the cable. Is there a way i could do it with a satelite reciever box?
there is a video cable input on the tv....
 
yes. usually the receiver box will have a bunch of output options and if you can match them to your tv then you get cables and hook them up.

usual methods of input/output:

hdmi
component (red, green, and blue for video, with red and white for audio)
composite (yellow for video, with red and white for audio)
s-video

get the appropriate cable, hook em up
