If my amp in my car is always on will it drain the car battery?

I have it hooked up to where the amp is always powered on. Will this eventually drain the battery or will it only pull power from the battery when it needs it (when the radio is playing and the sub is hitting)?
 
Sounds like you have a short or a draw on power other than just your Amp.

Check the water levels in your battery too, if it is that type.

YEAH IT WILL AND WHY WOULD U HAVE IT CONNECT TO ALWAYS BE ON IM A INSTALLER AND U MIGHT WANNA GET A CAPACITOR TO IT AND TURN YOUR CAR ON ONCE IN A WHILE FOR UR BATTERY CAN RECHARGE IF YOUR STEREO DOESN'T HAVE A AMP REMOTE U MIGHT WANNA HOOK IT UP TO UR IGNITION WIRE
