If man was made in the image of God, and God is three persons,?

They've said for years that we are supposedly body, soul and spirit. But according to Genesis, God breathed the breath of life (spirit) into man (body) and man BECAME a living soul. So that sort of cuts it down to two.

God is a Spirit (John 4:24). That's His nature. He took on flesh for our redemption. We are in His image because we also are spirits, in flesh for the present. But the flesh doesn't endure. The spirit does. Just as He is one Spirit, each of us has one spirit.

I know there are Billy and Christopher

Billy is aggressive and likes heavy metal
Christopher is Passive and likes Classical Music

And then there is me- Country Music fan- That makes up our Trinity

then wouldn't that make each of us three persons? Where are your other two persons?
Linda, your intellect, your emotions, and your body do not constitute three separate persons.
Kamau, what about Jazz and Blues?
Krazyabouthim, you are correct, but as I already said, your mind and your body are not separate persons.

Think about this:

YOU

You have a body. The body is flesh, blood, bones and organs.

You have a mind. The mind is intellect, reasoning, and commands the body both on conscience and sub-conscience levels.

You have feelings. These are your emotions, dreams, imagination.

All three of these make up one being, all three depend on the others to function properly.

You need your body; you need your mind, you need your feelings.

Is there any part of this statement wrong?

Then, if we are tri-une beings, why is it so hard for us to accept the fact that so is God?

No. Man is a mere Creation Of God, even if we are made in His Image.

God Is Above & Beyond all human comprehension, & His Trinity Is but a Mere Attribute Of His Greatness.

We are all living triple lives. You know how there always seems to be someone that looks a lot like you out there somewhere? No one can put two and two together (or one and one and one actually)
