...complain that he was born in Panama? The Constitution says nothing about Presidents being born in "canal zones" or military bases. And before you tell me the Senate voted on it and declared McCain was eligible, remember that's the same Senate that certified President Obama's election, too. You either take their word or you don't. ;-)

But back to the question, if McCain been elected, what would the birthers be doing right now? Or is it about race after all?
 
McCain has been upfront and honest about his birth. Obama has spent over a million dollars in court to stall on showing the documentation for his eligibility. Do you see the difference here?
 
Speaking of the constitution, it says to be eligible to be president you must be natural born, yet nowhere does it state what natural born means!

The Supreme Court has ruled that natural born means born on American soil and to at least one American parent.

John McCain was born on American soil, no it was not within the 50 states, but it was American soil nonetheless.

I think if McCain had been elected, first off there would have been riots and second, yes, Obama supporters would be pulling the same birther card.
 
Actually, there were people complaining about his birth too.

The Const doesn't specify where you have to be born, it just says you have to be a "natural born citizen" of the US. If the govt decided a long time ago that military bases qualify for natural born citizens, there's no issue.

Also, the Senate did not certify that either were ok. The Senate doesn't do that.
 
McCain is a patriot white AMerican who loves his country and served it proudly. I could ignore the fact that, out of technicalities, he wasn't born in America because his family was a military family

Hussein is a Kneyan. The man is not like us. Why doesn't he show his real BC already? how hard is it? Does the "President" not have access to a Kinkos?

If McCain were a democrat yes they would.

Its not about race, its about party. I don't think it was about race when you hated Bush.
