Well, the highest clerical authority in our country Bangladesh, a Muslim majority-nation, denounced suicide bombing and terrorism as cowardly and in no way supported by Islam, a few months ago.
Shouldn't such a declaration make headlines around the world?
Many imams and clerics around the world ARE denouncing terrorism and the Taliban bigotry in their own ways. But they receive pitiful media coverage.
That being said, I still think Muslims should go down to the streets to protest terrorism and Taliban sponsored radicalism in the same way they protest over cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
