If I'm not eating enough while breastfeeding, will my daughter still be nourished?

I seem to rarely have time for food and not enough money to buy a ton of healthy food. I basically subsist on Ramen and peanut butter. Will my body take my nutrients and put them in the milk so that at least my daughter is still being nourished properly?

Your body provides for baby first. Unless you are literally starving to death, your milk will be perfect for your baby, but YOU will suffer if your nutrition is poor.

Keep taking your prenatal vitamins and make an effort to eat a little better. In the time it takes to cook a pot of ramen noodles you could eat some fresh fruit, or a can of soup, or a sandwich.

(If money is that tight, you are probably eligible for WIC or food stamps.)
