...after taxes? I'm single and not someone's dependent and trying to make a budget for a new job I just got in NYC. The pay is $18.75/hr based on a 35 hr work week. Anything above 35 hours is seen as overtime (1 hour overtime = 1 and 1/2 hour normal). Assuming I would be working 40 hrs/week how much would I actually be making a month after taking all taxes into consideration (federal, state, and city). Thanks for the help!
Revision: I did visit paycheckcity.com but got very confused as to what all my deductions, exemptions and state withholdings and all that would be as I haven't paid taxes for a while, and never in NY state or NYC. Help
