if ichiro suzuki retired at the end of the season would he be a hall of famer?

Okay i took a look at ichiro stats! wow. if he left 9 years i think they would make an exception. the guy hasn't had one season without 200 hits, or a 100 runs. and he has 330 stolen bases and a .333 batting average. He's a lot better than i thought he was. Damn not saying hes ted williams, but if somebody thought he was the greatest hitter ever. i would see where they are coming from. 9 straight seasons with 200 hits? wth his that about!

No, you have to play 10 years to be eligible.

However, if he retired at the end of next season, yes, I think he's a Hall of Famer, but it might take a couple of years of voting.

If he plays 5-7 more years and gets 3000 hits, he's a First Ballot HOFer.
