If I wrote a story about genies?

What other fantasy creatures should I include. I was thinking of using magicians. I would want them to tie in with genies easily so nothing like elves or vampires because they would not make much sense together. Any suggestions?
 
I'm not sure, but as Genies or Djinn are part of Arabic and Islamic folklore, you could try websites or books related to those topics ...
