If I were to write a book...?

and call it something like "The Bible" or something to that effect, do you reckon a bunch of people would think it is "gods" word too? Even though it's just a bunch of ink blotted down on tree paper?

Which leads me to my second question? If god existed, isn't it selfish to cut down something he created in order to get a big fat book about him published?
I'm loving all the proper and intelligent answers. Thank you guys for your response.

Yes, as humans are sooooo STUPID!!

The Bible was written by the Sumerians I am willing to bet. And they knew what they were doing as we are just repeating history. A forced karma if you will.

Moses has the same bio as King Sargon, so who was King Sargon (the leader of the oppressed and the dark skins)??? Hhhmmm... he appears by titles (or his empire) over 3,000 times in the old testament. So when "God" comes back to spite the POPE again, do not be surprised when all the white people get mass holocausts again! Our history that we know is not real... There is a reason for secret societies.

As a note all of these OT leaders are really the Egyptians... do not be so stupid people to think that Americans have a pyramid on their dollar for nothing. (with the all seeing eye of Osiris)

Oh yeah, Freemasonry didn't began in 1717 London. The Egyptian Pharaoh Tutenkhamen was buried with a "Freemason apron" just like George Washingtons. A life size pyramid skirt of a fertility statue guards his coffin. His title means Living Image of Amun/Lord Amen (Ra/Re). As king he married Ankhesenepatan who had 2 girls that only had "Osiris" on the coffins.(1333–1324 BCE) His Obelisk looks exactly like the "Washington monument".

"On opening the tomb of King Tutankhamen, Dr. O.J. Kinnamon, who has spent 20 years in work on the tombs of ancient Egypt, said: "Masonry did not have its beginning in Europe in the 17th century. I do not know where or when the principles of Masonry had their beginnings, but years of archeological study in Egypt show it came there in the days of the Pharaohs, maybe from India. There are signs that it came into India from the lost continent of Mu." Dr. Kinnamon then described the unwrapping of the king's mummy and stated that after layers of fabric had been unwound from its midsection, a Masonic Apron was found in its proper place." (March 1991 article attributed to the Masonic Relief Association)

Bible is a corruption of the greek word "biblos". It just meant book. Back when codices (books between covers as opposed to scrolls) were rare, when Christians met one another and referred to THE book, everyone knew what they were speaking of. And yes, if you claim your writings were inspired by God, or that you're channeling the spirit of Abraham (see the wacko "The Secret" and "Law of Attraction" lady), some people will likely believe you. Most will think you are crazy. If, however, a few hundred years go by, and people are still reading your writing and consider it a positive influence, it may form part of the canon of sacred literature of Mankind. Sadly, you will be too dead to enjoy that fact.

Regarding paper issues, once again, paper from wood pulp is a modern phenomenon. When the bible was being committed to writing, it would have gone onto papyrus, an easily renewable crop, or animal skins. Now if you want to get into the morality of killing animals to write God's word on...still, chances are, those animals were being killed for the dinner table, and the parchment was just a bonus.
