my kid is about to hit the peak of his adolescent youth & i don't think he's developed his own sense of what is required & what is acceptable as a young man.

I mean, I don't care that, to this day, my kid like power rangers still even though its fake, i just care enough that he doesn't start telling people that, you know? Also, i don't want to carve him as a man to thinks UFC is the best thing in the world & start wearing Tap-out shirts. Just make the dude into a civil man, ya know?

I'm already aware of some basic things i should teach him( the lesson about women will be for another time), which i'll make in list form:

1. If you have to poop really badly, you got to suck it up & use the men's room stall, no matter how disgusting it is. If there is no restroom nearby, improvise.

2. Have to learn how to take a punch properly( involving breathing & stuff)
3. Be calm & civil toward other kids during an argument
4. If you have to fight( don't "have" to fight, see #3) don't take the fighting stance first
5. Raise tolerance toward spicy food. Example: Hot Cheetos
6. Stretch before you exercise

*if you have anything to add to the list, please do so. Thanks for the input
i forgot. #7 is get a deep voice. That's #7

You sound like an excellent father. The world needs more people like you.

Things to also consider:
1) Women (you already mentioned that's for a later date)
2) Always help someone who is carrying a heavy object
3) Always offer to drive
4) Learn to cook, and other domestic chores
5) Learn how to talk with guys (when cursing is appropriate, what setting, with whom)
6) Giving advice
7) Universal respect to ALL decent human beings
