...receiver? If I wanted to show pictures of my AR-15 but wanted to maintain my anonymity, would scribbling/blacking out the serial number on the lower receiver be necessary? Could any information about me be obtained by the numbers on the lower? Thanks!
 
I would definitely do that or take the picture with some sort of tape covering it. I am not positive about how much information (depends on your state) could be obtained by the numbers on the lower but why risk it.
