If I want to sell my car to my friend for straight up cash, what all do i need?

you need your title. plates registration and make sure you write out a form saying so and so bought the car and paid this much on so and so date just incase you get screwed over.. i didn't make one of those and my friend ..exfriend never paid me and there was nothing i could do about it! Lol
