If I want to be a doctor .. can I specialize in genetics after getting my degree ?

or cancer research related specialties ? .. also, if you can give me a link for a list of medical specialties and with a description of each one would be really great ..
and If any doctor is answering, I wanna ask what is it like to be a doctor.. is it boring routine? or is it fun and exciting? are there any international research opportunities and all that?
