If I use my crockpot outside (in a cold climate) will it affect the cooking performance?

The reason I ask is that my husband wants me to cook some venison in the crockpot and I absolutely hate the smell of it cooking in the house. I'd like to just stick the whole thing out in our garage to cook, but I'm afraid the cold air out there will make the inside of the crockpot not get as hot as it needs to be. I'm not sure how insulated it is.

It should be fine. Monitor the temp occasionally. Also, look into different seasonings for venison, you may end up enjoying the smell. I grew up eating almost only venison, and the different ways my mom and grandma cooked it, it smelled wonderful, even to my non-meat eating friends!
