If I use Con-tact Multipurpose Adhesive liner on books, can I remove it a year later without ruining the book?

I'm planning to buy it and use it to cover books. I want to cover it with the liner and then remove it at the end of the year. The liner is made for furnitures but is also used for books
I am covering a paperback book.
Also, is it even strong enough to stay on for about a year
